Hector Fabian Ortiz is a Puerto Rican composer, pianist player and guitarist who has been pushing the limits when it comes to experimental music. With his work he looks up to composer greats such as Arnold Schoenberg, Toru Takemitsu and Duke Ellington. He Strives to be in his own category with his unique sound. Taking inspiration from his hometown Newark, NJ and does his best to represent the great Brick City with his work. 

 

Graduating from Berklee College of Music not only helped him gather the tools to be a great composer. But it also exposed him to different techniques from all different genres of music from all over the world. There were many challenging times while taking classes online and also working as a Nurse during the pandemic. But with determination and passion was able to overcome great challenges.
